With a focus on family fun, Cub Scout Family Camp, is where Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts can challenge themselves through safe, age appropriate activities, make some friends, and dive into an adventure. Set in the beautiful woods of Rainbow Scout Reservation in Morris, IL, our camp offers the perfect environment for boys and girls to complete dozens of advancements and awards while making lifelong memories. Picture exhilarating campfires under the stars, engaging activities led by excellent staff, and endless opportunities for fun. Cub Scout Family Camp is not only a fantastic way to keep young Scouts excited about the Cub Scout program, but it also provides a thrilling preview of the adventures that await in Scouts BSA!

We know you’re excited about Cub Scout Family Camp, and we’re here to make sure you’re fully prepared! Below, we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions to help you and your Scout get ready for an unforgettable adventure at RSR. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
At Cub Scout Family Camp, your Scout can look forward to a thrilling mix of activities, from traditional Scouting experiences like hiking and campfires to hands-on opportunities for earning advancements and awards. The camp provides a fun, supportive environment where every day is packed with adventure.
Cub Scout Family Camp is open to Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and AOL Scouts. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young Scouts to immerse themselves in the scouting program, build confidence, and make new friends—all while enjoying the great outdoors.
Your Scout should pack essentials such as a sleeping bag, comfortable clothes for various weather conditions, sturdy shoes, toiletries, and a flashlight. Don’t forget to include any necessary medications and a refillable water bottle. A detailed packing list will be provided to ensure nothing is overlooked.
A parent or guardian is required to camp with their Scout until Webelos rank. Then, following national standards, Webelos and AOL Scouts can camp with their Den. Your involvement helps ensure the smooth operation of camp activities and maintains our youth protection standard. Please complete the Youth Protection Training available at My.Scouting.org.
