On Giving Tuesday, give our Scouts the tools they need to succeed
What Is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
Why Should I Give on #GivingTuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a great way to really show that you care about impacting local youth in your community by supporting local Scouting programs. Scouting not only helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives, they also get to try new things, teaches them how to provide service to others and build self-confidence.
Other reasons on why you should give on Giving Tuesday are that giving provides satisfaction, it is tax-deductible, a little bit goes a long way, and you can make a difference in a child’s life!
